Let's be real. The world doesn't understand what you're doing.
When you're “still” breastfeeding your toddler or preschooler, you exist in this strange limbo where pediatricians start giving you side-eye, family members make "jokes" about when you'll stop, and even your most supportive friends sometimes ask, "So... how long are you planning to do this?"
As if your deeply intimate feeding relationship is under a microscope - and everyone is searching for an expiration date stamped on it.
And it's exhausting.
Not the breastfeeding itself (though yeah, sometimes that too), but the constant weight of navigating this journey alone, without even a beat up map to help.
You want to trust your instincts.
You want to honor your child’s needs all the way through until the last drop of milk they drink.
But damn if the chorus of outside voices doesn't sometimes make you question everything. (...and the constant state of being touched-out feels like it's slowly killing you.)

You don't have to compromise your values or your intuition in order to wean - and you do not need to suffer through exhaustion in order to continue.
But you do need a community and experts who truly understand what you're experiencing and why that you can learn from and lean on.
When I talk with extended breastfeeding moms, I hear the same things over and over:
-
"I don't know if what I'm doing is right anymore."
-
"I'm too touched out but feel guilty about wanting boundaries - and then I just feel like a pushover"
-
"I don't want to stop completely, but something needs to change."
-
"Even though we have weaned, he is still *obsessed* with my breasts, and are waking up through the night - what did I do wrong?"
This isn't just about breastfeeding.
This is about navigating one of the most significant relationships in your life without the cultural blueprint that others take for granted.
So here's what we're going to do.
We're creating a sanctuary and a training ground.
A place where your journey—whether continuing, modifying, or gently concluding—is honored and supported with genuine understanding.
Where your doubts and darker moments can be spoken out loud without fear of triggering unwanted advice.
Where your wins are celebrated by people who truly understand their significance (and you can learn from other's wins!)
Where you can get evidence-baced, individualized support from professionals who are truly breastfeeding informed.
Because when you're no longer battling the isolation of this path, you can finally make decisions with clarity and confidence that honor both your needs and your child's.
No more second-guessing.
No more feeling alone.
Just the relief of finally having your experience seen, validated, and supported.

Hey there! 👋
In case you don't already know me, I'm Jenna - Lactation Consultant & Parent Coach
I'm a coach for moms who color outside the conventional parenting lines.
(You know, because you're still nursing a kiddo who can ask for milk in complete sentences, or because your Google history is filled with "is this normal?" searches at 3 AM, or maybe your idea of "family values" makes your mother-in-law's eye twitch.)
I've spent the last 8 years breastfeeding. (3.5 of those years tandem nursing two kids at the same time!)
After overcoming early breastfeeding challenges with my oldest (she didn't latch at all for 3 days, needed tongue and lip tie revisions, had reflux and colic), I thought I knew it all.
But when I got pregnant while still nursing my toddler, everything changed.
The aversions began, the epic meltdowns when I would say "no" to a breastfeed that would last for hours, and the internal chaos I felt trying to find my footing.
But now?
-
I homeschool, extended breastfeed, AND work from home without feeling touched out & burnt out
-
I have confidence in my parenting skills to navigate whatever breastfeeding challenges come my way
-
I've had the incredible pleasure of supporting other extended breastfeeding & weaning moms to create the nurturing relationship they didn't even realize was possible for over 5 years all around the globe
That’s the better part of a decade spent crafting my OWN natural term breastfeeding journey in a way that works for my family dynamics, my children's unique needs, and my own wellbeing.
I did it on my own because there wasn’t anyone to do it with, you know?
And also, I firmly believed in my parenting convictions and giving my children the best foundation for life I could. …and also, my sanity needed to stay intact for that to happen.
It took a LONG time and a LOT of tears and research before I realized all the ways in which the constant second-guessing and judgment about these two things were holding me back.
Just to be clear: I'm not saying my "trust your intuition" approach was holding me back. I'm saying the uncomfortable sensation of feeling like I had to choose between my child's needs and my own was holding me back.
Because I didn't have to choose.
But a lot of us feel like we do. And the mainstream parenting world wants us to feel that way, because if we feel isolated and uncertain, we won't have the confidence to forge our own path.
So I want to help you find clarity and confidence in your extended breastfeeding journey so that you can nurture the connection with your child while also honoring your own needs and boundaries. (Whether you wean next week, or 5 years.)
Because parenting would be more joyful if more mothers had the supportive community they deserve, you know?

Moms & Milk Village is Perfect for You If Any Of These Sound Like You:
✅ Your little one is 12 months or older (or you are tandem feeding!)
✅ You know you are ready to wean, and you are burnt the hell out, but you STILL want your child’s needs to lead the way.
✅ You're looking for evidence-based guidance without judgment
✅ Breastfeeding is great, but all of the other areas of your life feel stressful, and breastfeeding seems to complicate them.
✅ You value respectful, developmentally appropriate parenting approaches
✅ You've already weaned, but your kiddo is still boob-obsessed
✅ You're ready to feel confident in your choices
Moms & Milk Village is Not the Right Fit For You If:
❌ Your baby is under 12 months (and you are NOT tandem feeding)
❌ You're looking for rigid schedules or quick-fix solutions
❌ You have concerns that you don’t feel comfortable talking about in a small group setting. (We will esnure everything is as private and annonymous as possible, however, this is a group setting and NOT a 1:1 coaching offer.)
❌ You aren’t willing to look beyond your child’s behaviours to their underlying needs (or your own!)
Moms & Milk Village - Frequently Asked (Hypothetical) Questions:
Are you just going to tell me to “hold my boundaries” better?
Boundaries are a HUGE part parenting - and I will most definitely support you with them in coaching calls. …but, I reject the idea that “sticking to your no” and “not giving in” are critical to effective parenting. (This topic goes way beyond what I can share in an FAQ session, of course)
I take a holisitic approach in everything I do as a coach. When you bring challenges to a coaching call or the community discussion, you’re going to get nuanced support that helps you look at the big picture of your life (and your kids life) because breastfeeding doesn’t happen in a vacuum.
Also - I don’t do “just do xyz” kind of support. It’s not my style I firmerly believe that YOU are the expert, and my main role is to help you see that.
I just want community - I’m not looking to make changes. Is it worth it for me?
100% - the moderated private community forum means you can share freely without people ragging you in the comments for your breastfeeding & weaning choices. You can also encourage and connect with other moms who acutally GET IT! (Instead of feeling like you are the odd ball in the corner with your 3 year old’s hand down your shirt at playgroup.)
And joining now with the founding member pricing means you will have continued access when things come up that you do want more depth education and support for.
I’m definitely done breastfeeding - will this help me wean?
Absolutely! As long as you are in the group, you will have access to Own Your Breastfeeding Story Self-Study which in my 6 module course for breastfeeding families to make changes (including weaning). In fact the last module includes a comphrehensive toddler weaning planner.
AND - because you are a member of Moms & Milk Village, you can bring any questions and challenges to coaching calls and the community forum for support (which makes it not so “self” study at all!)
...and with the flexibility of a monthly membership to the village, you don't have to buy anything out-right and you can stay for as long as you need.
I’m not ready to join right now, but can I in the future?
I totally get it. The “founding member" offer will end shortly and the doors will close.
This will give our group the chance to settle in and get to know each other in a safe place.
I will open the doors again in a few months, and you are welcome to join then. However, the price will have gone up, and I will cap the number of members who can join at that time as well.
Can I just join for 1 month?
I ask that you commit to an initial 3 months when you join so that we can guarantee a consistent, solid group of people for that time.
However, the option exists for you to leave at any time if you choose to.
I’ve got a different question.
No Problem! Shoot me an email at jenna@ownyourparentingstory.com and let’s talk!
